Hello from Tel Aviv! Dr. Nadir Arber, MD. We are with Dr. Nadir Arber, MD, who is Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology at Tel Aviv University, and Head of Integrated Cancer Prevention Center, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. Dr. Arber obtained his MD from Medical school at Hadassah, Jerusalem. Dr. Arber did his Master of Science from Tel Aviv University, and MBA from Reckanti School of Business administration. Dr. Arber did residency in internal medicine at Rabin Medical Center and fellowship in gastroenterology at Tel Aviv Medical Center. He also did research fellowship at Comprehensive Cancer Center at Columbia University in New York. In 1999 Dr. Nadir Arber became the head of Gastrointestinal Oncology Unit at the department of gastroenterology at Tel Aviv Medical center. In 2002, Dr. Arber established Integrated Cancer Prevention Center at Tel Aviv Medical Center. In 2014 Dr. Nadir Arber was chosen as the President of the Israeli society of gastroenterology. Dr. Arber's clinical and research interests include prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, esophageal, pancreatic and colorectal cancer. He leads the development of new molecular markers for gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Arber also develops novel ways to screen for colorectal cancer with devices that can pass through the intestines. Dr. Arber is actively involved in development of cancer gene therapy for gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreatic cancer and colorectal cancer. Dr. Arber has authored and co-authored almost 400 peer-reviewed publications in international medical journals and presented numerous talks on cancer prevention, screening and treatment at international conferences.
